We built HitReplAI with a minimal data philosophy. We collect only what we need to run the extension.

1. Introduction
HitReplAI is a Chrome extension that improves the tone and clarity of your replies. We do not sell data, and we avoid collecting personal information.
2. What We Collect

3. What We Don't Collect
We do not collect names, email addresses (except Pro subscribers' payment email, used solely for subscription restoration), browsing history, full message history, or tracking cookies. The extension sets one first-party functional cookie on api.hitreplai.com containing your anonymous device ID so the extension and backend recognize the same device; it is not used to track you across websites. The extension itself does not include third-party analytics trackers. Our marketing website uses Google Analytics 4 with IP anonymization and advertising signals disabled.
4. How AI Processing Works
When you enhance a reply, the draft text and post context are transmitted to our Cloudflare Worker at api.hitreplai.com, which forwards them to OpenRouter (Gemini 2.0 Flash) for processing. This text is not logged, stored, or retained beyond the duration of the request. It is not used for training, analytics, or any secondary purpose.
5. Pro Subscriptions
Payments are handled by Dodo Payments. We receive only the device ID, subscription status, and customer email needed for payment restoration.
6. Data Retention
Usage counters expire within 48 hours. Aggregated analytics expire after 90 days.
7. Your Rights
You can reset your device ID by clearing the extension's local storage. For support, contact us at hi@indieegg.com.
